Aquatic ecosystems are the final absorbers of various pollutants, so require complex monitoring to control their condition. Macrophytes and other aquatic plants serve as reliable indicators hydro ecological state, they provide an integral assessment environment in time space. Changes chlorophyll a b content ratio rigid hornwort (Ceratophyllum demersum L.) leaves depending on water chemical parameters Saksagan River zones influence "Ternivska" "Oktyabrska" mines (Kryvyi Rih city) were studied.
